I heard about the Small Furry Hotel from another rabbit owner at the vets. I have been trying to pair my bunnies for a year and every time I tried to put them together we ended up with a lot of de-fluffing. So I booked them in for a bonding session which at first I was surprised that Madeleine said could be done in only 2 weeks. I thought that it would be a miracle if they would accept each other in such a small space of time. After only 3 days Madeleine had a video up of the bunnies hoping around perhaps a little tense but with no fighting. After a week was up Madeleine gave me a full update on how they were doing and advised that it would be wise to let them settle for a few more days. On day 10 I went to pick up 2 very happy bunnies neither of which wanted to leave. Since being home the bunnies have been grooming each other and snuggling up for a few short winks in the afternoon. Madeleine has changed their lives and made mine a lot easier, I would recommend the Small Furry Hotel to anyone looking for a safe and fun environment to not only bond their bunnies but to leave them for a holiday. Thank you Madeleine.
We also bond Chinchilla's
Over the years Madeleine has successfully bonded may pairs of rabbits.
The reasons Madeleine gets asked to bond rabbits are
1. A person may have two rabbis at home that they have been unable to bond and here fore has had to keep them in seperate hutches.
2. A rabbit has lost their partner as is looking for a new friend.
3. Or a rabbit has been living alone and their owner decides they would like a companion for theor existing rabbit.
Madeleine says "I get great pleasure in seeing two animals developing a frienship and bond with each other. When you witness two rabbbits snuggled up and grooming each other you realise what the single rabbit is missing out on. "
We have a very good relationship with the local rescue Waggy tails. If you pass their checks Madeleine will book your rabbits in for a two week period. Over this time you will get regular updates on how your rabbit is progressing. Madeleine is very experienced and can usually tell within a few days if the bonding is likely to be successful. If the bunnies do not like each other we can try another friend. Just because your rabbit doesn't like one rabbit it doesn't mean they won't like another. Madeleine had her hutches designed so that she can house the rabbits next door to each other and just have a grill to seperate them. This is invaluable for the first few days. Madeleine is always happy to have a chat and help steer you in the right direction. Nomal boarding fees apply plus £25 for the bonding plus £25 on achieving a successful bond.
" have just collected Flopsy and Simba from The Small Furry Hotel after their stay for a week to be bonded. Have tried at home but not been successful so asked if they could come and stay and SUCCESS!! after just four days they were very happy together, calm and behaving as though they had always been together. I woud very much recommend The Small Furry Hotel if you need your small furry animal looked after, they get so much attention and care. Thankyou Madeleine xx
